How does Comfort Smart Electric Thermal Storage (ETS) work?

It's not complicated. Ceramic heat storage bricks inside the unit are electrically heated when power rates are at their lowest. Highly efficient insulation keeps the heat in until it's needed. A thermostat and a quiet electric fan keep the room temperature at the desired level. Sensors gauge outdoor temperatures and ensure the exact amount of even, comfortable heat is available. The units keep living space constantly warm while storing heat for later use.

Electric Thermal Storage units are attractively built to fit discreetly against a wall of your home. They deliver savings automatically by storing up heat at night when low rates apply. No clocks or timers to set. You save money keeping your home cozy and comfortable around the clock.

How do the new Time of Use rates work?

Time of Use power rates are offered only to customers who use an Electric Thermal Storage home heating system.

Time of Use rates save you half off standard electricity rates every night of the year and round-the-clock on weekends and holidays. These rates apply to all electricity use throughout your home.

Is Electric Thermal Storage better than oil heat?
